OTSDR is a response to the shifting landscape of outdoor culture, an exploration into the unknown, encouraging new ways of thinking, making and creating.

OTSDR exists to form a deeper connection to nature throughout 4 key outputs:

Purposefully made to move you closer to nature through physical objects. Small run. Limited edition. Collaborative. Experimental.

Progressing the culture through meaningful conversation, exploratory research and critical discourse. Brining focus to the outer edges.

Visual explorations of an evolving culture through limitless creative expressions and outputs.

OTSDR is based in Keswick in the Lake District national park, UK. Founded by Jeffrey Bowman – Creative Director, Artist, Cultural Commentator, ‘Outdoor Prophet’.

Outsider to OTSDR 

In 2014 and 2019, Jeffrey authored the culturally defining outdoor books; The Outsiders + The New Outsiders in collaboration with Gestlaten. The books celebrate outdoor culture through the lens of a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts. Documenting the people, projects, products and brands that have disrupted the outdoor industry and redefined what it means to spend time in nature.

OTSDR continues this work to further the culture and celebrate the outdoors for the benefit of everyone – it exists to be shared.
